This 30 Kali ghaghra is made from handwoven recycled cotton and Zari in a herringbone weave. Each stripe is hand painted radiating from the waist to the hem to create a chevron pattern inspired by Mughal architecture. The hem is finished with hand embroidered Himroo panels. All plant dyed in a combination of madder root and tender coconut skins. Lined in viscose silk.  

The Kavya choli in handwoven recycled cotton Himroo, is plant-dyed Pyaazi with madder root and hand-embroidered all over to highlight the weave. Short sleeves in cotton silk Chanderi, hand-embroidered anaar butta on the sleeves. Front and back lined in viscose silk. Sleeves unlined. Mul mul lining available on request. 

The ensemble is completed with two dupattas both plant dyed with a combination of tender coconut skins, madder root and Sappan wood. One is georgette with Banarasi borders with hand embroidered butas all over the dupatta and pitta kaam along the borders. The other is organza with zardozi hand embroidered borders. 

The set includes a 30 Kali ghaghra, Kavya choli and 2 dupattas. The veil is not included 

Cut and sewn entirely by hand in our studio in Mumbai. Made especially for you, shipped within 5-6 weeks of receiving your order.

Spot clean and flat dry in shade. Dry clean when necessary. Plant-dyed hues age with time, as all things in nature do.

Natural variations in colour and weave are part of the textile.

 

Care Instruction

We advise a gentle handwash, in cold water with mild detergents to maintain thecolours for longer.Please air dryin the shade. Natural dyes age over time and grow lighter with every wash.Please do not dry clean.
