The Ira saree and Inaya choli - both plant-dyed terracotta with madder root and marigold flowers from temple offerings at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.
The Ira saree in georgette is hand-embroidered all over in delicate butas and has a metallic badla and resham border running along the edges. It is 6m in length.
The Inaya choli in double silk organza, has elbow length sleeves. Metallic badla and resham kaam hand-embroidered from the hem in gradation to leave the shoulders exposed.
The set includes the Ira saree, Inaya choli, and a petticoat.
Cut and sewn entirely by hand in our studio in Mumbai. Made especially for you, shipped within 3-4 weeks of receiving your order.
Hand wash the drapes cold, line dry in shade. The blouse is best spot cleaned and flat dried or dry cleaned when necessary. Plant-dyed hues age with time, as all things in nature do.
Natural variations in colour and weave are part of the textile.
When the colour fades over years of wear, re-ceremonial offers a re-dye service to renew it.
